Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: name, email, and password (or Google account identifier if you sign in with Google).
• Billing information: handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor - we receive your subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription IDs, not your full card number.
• Brokerage connection data: if you link a brokerage account (e.g. Schwab), we store encrypted OAuth access/refresh tokens and the account identifiers needed to read balances/positions or place orders on your instruction. We do not store your brokerage password.
• Self-reported trading data: cash, holdings, broker name, and similar figures you enter yourself.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and similar analytics needed to operate and improve the Service.

2. How We Use Information

To operate the Service (compute your requested calculations, apply your subscription tier, connect to your linked brokerage account when you ask us to), to communicate with you (alerts you subscribe to, service/billing notices), and to maintain and improve the Service's reliability and security.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run StratBeacon (payment processing via Stripe, hosting/infrastructure, email/SMS delivery for alerts you've opted into), with your linked broker's own systems when you connect an account, or when required by law.

4. Data Security

Brokerage OAuth tokens are stored encrypted at rest. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and trading-related data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can review and update your account information from Settings, disconnect a linked brokerage account at any time, and unsubscribe from alert emails/texts. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the address below.

7. Cookies

We use cookies/local storage necessary for authentication and basic site functionality (e.g. remembering your theme preference).

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on this page with an updated date. See also our Terms of Service.
